Welcome to KY-ACC

The Kentucky Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (KY-ACC) is committed to advancing the prevention of cardiovascular disease and enhancing the quality of care for individuals affected by these conditions. By collaborating closely with the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the KY-ACC plays a crucial role in shaping and improving cardiovascular health initiatives across the state.

Our chapter not only provides expert guidance and support to local and state government bodies but also engages with professional organizations to address a wide range of cardiovascular health issues. Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, we strive to influence policy, foster innovative practices, and promote research that ultimately leads to better patient outcomes and a healthier community.

In 1949, 13 cardiologists led by Franz Groedel, MD, MACC and Bruno Kisch, MD, MACC, founded the ACC, creating a professional home for cardiovascular clinicians seeking the latest science, research and cutting-edge education. Fast forward 75 years later and the College has evolved into a global cardiovascular leader, uniting more than 56,000 members spanning the entire cardiovascular care team around the shared Mission of transforming cardiovascular care and improving heart health for all.
