Member Types

Fellow

The designation of Fellow represents recognition by the College of high professional achievement in a cardiovascular discipline. Candidates shall have certification by both a primary specialty board and an applicable subspecialty board which holds membership in either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Advisory Board for Osteopathic Specialists of the American Osteopathic Association. The candidate who is not board certified shall have had training required to qualify for admission to examination by one of the recognized cardiovascular related subspecialty boards, if working in a field having a certifying board. The candidate shall have made significant contributions to the scientific literature or as a teacher or investigator in cardiovascular disciplines. Learn More

Fellow-in-Training

ACC is pleased to extend complimentary membership in the College to cardiology fellows in training during their training years. Membership in the ACC provides practical benefits including on-line access to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and discounts on educational products and programs. Complimentary membership for all cardiology fellows in training is provided to those fellows currently training in an approved training program in the U.S. and Canada. Approved programs are those accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). Learn More

Applicants for Cardiac Care Associate Membership must be Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Physicians Assistants (PA), or Clinical Pharmacists (PharmD). Learn More
