New ACC/AHA VHD Guideline Spotlights Less-Invasive Treatments

The ACC and the American Heart Association’s new Guideline for the Management of Patients With Valvular Heart Disease offers concise, evidence-based recommendations to optimize care and management of patients with VHD. Specifically, the guideline includes expanded treatment options, recommends less-invasive interventions when possible, and stresses the importance of patient involvement in treatment considerations.
