Encourage the next generation of physician scientists and support their work when you nominate a promising young researcher for the 2019 Zipes Distinguished Young Scientist Award. Established in 2005, the award recognizes early career physician scientists who have amassed an impressive body of scientific research in either the basic or clinical domains. The award recipient will be invited to present their work before the world’s leading cardiovascular professionals at the Annual Scientific Sessions in New Orleans next March. Travel, housing and registration costs to attend the Scientific Sessions will be covered. The winner will also receive a monetary prize of $1,000 and will be formally recognized at the Annual Convocation Ceremony. Nominees for this distinguished award should be no more than 12 years removed from receipt of first doctoral degree from an accredited U.S. institution or comparable international training program.
